Up to date evidence may well help.

I'm afraid the reality is that the medical staff mentioned on the PIP2 by the claimant are rarely contacted, it's another point you can raise to devalue the report.

Thank you.

I have given the GP a form to fill in, but unsure they will be able to comment much on the descriptors. Also sent in the MR.

If I need to appeal, I am thinking I might do a paper based one. I don't think I could face a court type experience and MH is linked to stress (psychosis). Also no-one from any organisation such as Mind or CAB is able to come to appeals.

Do you have any advice on presenting a paper based appeal? I suppose to mention why it is paper based rather than in person would be a start...and that they haven't followed their own advice (DWP / Atos) with regard to supporting me with the application process as they had promised.

Just had a call from GP who is supportive but can't fill in form about how my condition relates to the descriptors, as they are only allowed to do factual reports.

Your GP is 'allowed' to write whatever s/he likes, there is no limitation imposed by DWP or anyone else other than the GP practice itself.

Ok well the situation is she is then not willing to fill in such a form. i do have a care plan which I have supplied and the GP has signed, this states my conditions, medications and emergency plans and day to day care...but Atos seems to be ignoring this.

The Care Plan should be one of the few pieces of evidence that would expect to directly relate to the PIP criteria, so it is something to refer to in your response.
