Dla renewal

Just got my renewal pack for Care,it ends May 2014,while Mobility is indefinate award. I noticed on the letter it states "if you do not want to apply for the care part of your DLA again,you do not need to fill in the care form or send it back to us. We will still continue with the Mobility part of your DLA "

Is this new as I always thought they looked at both components and there was always the risk of losing everything?

If the form does not include questions about mobility or gives you the opportunity not to answer questions relating to mobility then they should only look at the care component. You can always put a statement on the form such as 'no change to mobility issues'.
