Does attending a rehabilitative work programme for people with mental health problems count as therapy for PIP claims?

Based om your post no!
“Therapy” means therapy to be undertaken at home which is prescribed or recommended by a—
(a) registered –
(i) doctor;
(ii) nurse; or
(iii) pharmacist; or
(b) health professional regulated by the Health Professions Council.

Oh so psychological treatment (eg CBT or support groups) is not therapy because it is not undertaken at home? I have a support worker come to visit me in m house 5 hours a week to help with cleaning cooking etc- teaching me skills for independence. Does this count as therapy?

If it has been prescribed or recommended by a health care professional then you can argue that it is, whether it is accepted or not will depend on the Decision Maker at the time.

What about group therapy sessions for MH, given not at home but a local NHS building?

If it is not done in the home then it does not count.
