I have been sent a letter confirming a compliance meeting conducted by phone! It doesnt sound very nice. I was recently moved over from esa to jsa after a medical. i have submitted a mandatory appeal with help fom the benefits officer at my housing association. my housing benefit has been cut too 5 weeks ago which is a nightmare to reinstate. Does anyone know mych about this new hurdle? Many thanks if you do!

I am guessing you have been selected at random for the "privilege" of this call, if the DWP had any real concerns then I think they would have opted for a face to face appointment and required you to provide banks statements etc.

I don't believe it. The phone call was the SAME as meeting in May. In which I was told I had been working and not declaring earnings???! Having cleared this up last May, it came round full circle again, and I had to repeat that this work was part of permitted work programme at the time.....yes I am relieved, but another part if me says, do I really have to keep being beleaguered like this....?
At today's third Signing On since I have recently been moved to Jobseekers (Mandatory appeal pending) I was told that my 13 week doctors note is invalid. Has anyone heard of this new ruling? As jobseekers we are no longer allowed one, because jobseekers aren't meant to be sick, therefore it is invalid and declared meaningless.
As someone who is 2 points off the 14 point result required for ESA, and nearing age 60, I find this cruel. The stringent rules of JSA are quite a jolt if one has to find energy to fulfill all the requirements while sick. Mere imagination doesn't really help me get geared up to organise myself as a fit person does. Funny that.

The 13 week sickness allowance for those on JSA was introduced this year (?) It has certainly not been rescinded.

Re: Sick note I recommend reading this Rightnet thread over here.
Seems the DWP are trying it on again....
