PIP query: Copies to Case Manager was created by MariW
Back in 2014, I sent a copy of my ESA 50 and additional data to the DWP Decision Maker at the same time it was submitted to Atos. My elderly neighbour’s finite award of DLA has resulted in an invitation to claim PIP. What is the correct address of the Case Manager to whom to send copies of his form and additional info?
Thanks,
MW

PIP forms are returned to the DWP so there should not be a need to send a copy to the Case Manager.

Oops! How this business can still confuse me! However, I understand that PIP2 and attachments are taken apart to be scanned and submitted to Atos/Capita. Would it be wise for my neighbour- or any of us in due course- to send a second copy that could be kept in one piece?

Hi Gordon, Having just read this, for the past 18 months/2 years, I have been asking for copies of all hospital reports which go to my GP relevent to any appointments I have had. I have then made 2 copies and methodically filed them in folders purposely purchased ready for the big day when I am invited to apply for PIP from DLA. Are you now suggesting that sending a second copy to Capita will be a waste of time. I had read on an older post to send 2 copies off, 1 for Capita and one for DWP and using that information is the reason I have been preparing exactly that. Is it now going to be a waste of time or can it still be sent as I question whether everything will be copied or will some pieces of information be held back if deemed uneccessary. Would it not be useful or could it go against me if I was to send it anyway when the time comes.

The potential for loss of additional information/ medical data/ anything on a separate piece of paper seems considerable if a separated even when every page bears the claimant’s name/DOB/NI No.
I don’t know what to advise a very troubled elderly gentleman. Naturally, I do not want to add to his worry. If you think I’m getting paranoid please tell me and I’ll include it in my next claim.
