Hi Gordon again! sorry but just wondering you said we can both get severe premium and depending on circumstances one may claim careers for the other? Doses this mean as we as the premium or will we lose the SDP just a bit confused and would like to know before I phone them tomorrow. Thanks

I can't remember the exact circumstances but it is possible on ESA to receive 2 x SDP and 1 x Carers Premium.

I actually meant I need to look up the circumstances
You should be able to claim 2 x SDP and one of you can claim Carers Allowance for the other providing they are able to provide the 35 hours of care a week and their doing so does not conflict with their own limitations, giving you a Carers Premium of £34.60/week as well.
