I phoned DWP and explained what I had explained to you in my last post about further medical report and was told to either get a copy from GP if it is ready by end of the week and give it to the Assessor on the day and ask her to read it or cancel appointment for another day!!!!
If we decided to do the latter, do I need to give a reason or just request another date???
Thanks

Remember you can only cancel once and must attend a second appointment whenever and wherever it is arranged for.
They will ask for a reason, I would say that something has come up that you must attend in preference.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear.
What I meant was that on 27th of Feb Husband is due for a home visit, if we were to request a change for appointment, will it still be a home visit???
We certainly don't want to travel to a centre.

I would expect it to be but if it isn't then you won't be able to rearrange it to one, only the Assessment Provider will be able to rebook it.
