PIP and retirement was created by Bobbi
I know this has probably been beaten to death but can someone clarify the rules on PIP for me please.

My hubby and I both receive pip. He turns 65 in 2 years and will get his state pension at 65.5. His current PIPaward runs out 2 months after his retirement age. Will he need to claim AA at thus time or would he be able to stay on PIP. Would his PIP then be considered as a continuation of his existing claim.

Sorry if I'm not making myself very clear. Part of my disability now makes my explanations muddled.

Thanks.

I would expect his PIP to be reassessed a year before the current award ends, providing a new award is made he will continue to receive PIP after the age of 65
