ESA appeal deadline missed was created by Nadine
HI,
I applied for a MR to be moved from the WRAG to SG and was turned down on 23/11. I chose not to appeal as i had thought it would mean having to go to a tribunal and as i suffer with severe social anxiety this was not an option for me. However, reading through your section today, it seems that a tribunal could have been done 'on paper' but it is now 9/01 and over 2 weeks past the deadline. Is there any point in requesting an appeal now, in light of the knowledge that i wouldn't have to attend? Many thanks.

You can make a Late Appeal providing you can provide Good Reason why the request is late.

I can't offer comment on your requesting a paper hearing that you do not attend, other than the fact that the success rate is lower than that for an Oral hearing that you do attend.

Whether you can be placed in the SG will depend on your being able to show that you meet the criteria to be placed in the group.

If you want to appeal then have a look at the ESA Appeal guide, it has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and instructions on how to fill it in.
