Cancel appeal and reapply for PIP was created by N.
Hi,
Has anyone cancelled their appeal hearing and reapplied for PIP? Did you come across any issues with this?

You can cancel the appeal up to and including the day of the hearing.
You can make a new claim for PIP at any time there is no waiting period.

Thanks, Gordon. Do the DWP look at previous applications/assessment reports?

We haven't seen them do this for a new claim.

So what advice would you give, Gordon for someone who is still deciding to cancel the appeal and reapply? Any factors to take into consideration?

I would think about your claim, the original one failed and you don't appear to be confident about the appeal, what has changed that will mean that this claim will be more successful?
