PIP doesn't have an "indefinite " award so I assume you mean an "on-going" award.
We don't expect on-going awards to be re-assessed any earlier than ten years after the award is made and it may well be longer, however, as PIP is only just approaching it's fourth birthday we don't actually know how this will pan out for claimants.
The PIP legislation allows all claims to be reassessed at any time and for any reasons, but we have not seen the DWP reassess any claim early (if you ignore the one year that fixed term award are being reassessed early), unless there has been a Change of Circumstances.
