can you get enhanced for mental health condition was created by joe01
I am just wondering if its possible to claim pip on the enhanced rate based on mental health condition like you cannot go out alone without someone always needing to be with you as you would be a danger to yourself or others or someone else has to do all your cooking as you would be a danger to yourself if left in the kitchen as these are the problems I am facing so would this be enough to get the enhanced rate
thanks
thanks

It's more than possible to receive an Enhanced award of the Daily Living component due to mental health issues.
A standard award of Mobility is definitely possible but an Enhanced one may only be achievable if the claimant also has physical problems with their walking.

Descriptor (f) is about navigating a route, so you would first need to show that your conditions limit your ability to do this and secondly that it is for reasons other than psychological distress.

As Gordon says , I think you can really only get enhanced mobility if you have a physical problem as well as MH issues. Only f would get you 12 points and that is when someone can't go out at all. The 'having someone with you' is not just for company it's for taking control/ navigating etc.
I was originally given b ( I have OCD and ASD amongst other things)- I argued at my tribunal I felt d was the right one. The judge agreed and actually gave me e. Remember e and f are mutually exclusive .
