Hi Gordon, we rang Capita a few weeks ago and they said it was possible that my GPs "risk to health" letter regarding a home assessment had been overlooked (which is what you thought may have happened), so we asked the Capita person to get a manager to look at the case again. We rang again this week and I have now been granted a Paper Based Assessment, so am very relieved about that. Thanks again for your help.

Hi Gordon, just following up with more info regarding my Paper Based Assessment. This was granted but the Assessor still wanted to talk to my partner/carer on the phone for half an hour and go through a lot of the questions which are in the face to face assessment and they also rang my GP in spite of her letters.
4 weeks later and I have just received the letter from DWP awarding me higher rate for both care and mobility until 2023. Am very pleased so thank you to all at B&W for your help and for your excellent guide booklet. I have to say though, the points awarding was a bit of a shambles. I didn't get any points for "managing therapies" whereas I should have easily scored 8 points for that and even though the Assessor spoke to my partner/carer who does most of the helping me to manage the therapies and who is a qualified CFS therapist! So that was clearly a mistake and we are both a bit offended given the number of hours I spend getting help managing my therapies. And there were a few other errors but thankfully overall I scored enough points. I think if they have done this on my claim, which was very very clear, god knows what mistakes they make on other peoples claims. Thanks again for all your help.
