If you are unable to work then you can apply for ESA, or If one of you can then JSA. If you are in a Universal Credit area then it will be UC rather than the above, but I would recommend that you get face to face advice before you claim UC as once you have then there is no way back to what are no called legacy benefits.
Your HB may stop due to the removal of the IS claim, but you can contact your Local Authority and make a nil income claim if necessary.
If the Decision is overturned, then it should be possible to reinstate your original benefits unless you have made a claim for UC. For UC you can receive similar but the process will be definite.
