Can you tell me whether change in medication and the impact on work is something I can include in supporting a pip claim. Effects of alterations in medication can include being too drugged to do job or the change in medication not working as effectively and so having more seizures which would put my work at risk. It would be appropriate and ethical for me to take time out off work when going through such a process, but as self employed would earn no money, nor get any sick pay during such a period. Many thanks for feedback Jane
You can include the information but it will only have weight if it is used to support your problems in completing the PIP activities. PIP does not consider you ability to work or not and any impact that your medication or conditions have on your working.
See the PIP Claim guide for a detailed explanation of the criteria against which you are being assessed.
