Another casualty of mandatory reconsiderations was created by Hedgy Hedgehog
Hi everyone,
I was recently downgraded from the support group to WRAG even though my condition has got a lot worse! My attempt at the mandatory reconsideration was as per usual thrown out. So I'm going to appeal - don't expect to get it but I'm dammed I'm giving up now, it's the principle that's important - and I'd say to you all, go ahead, appeal, don't let them have an easy ride, we all know they're acting criminally and all the stress and trouble is worth it.
One thing I'd like to ask, though prob no-one knows.. I was hoping to compare my previous medical report (the one that put me in the support group) with my latest one. But I was told rather rudely by the benefits office that they destroy the older ones when the new ones come out, and surprise surprise they can't provide a copy. I didn't get it first time around (the support group one), I didn't get any letter or anything for about 3 years, except forms for more medical "assessments", wish I'd chased them up now. EVERYONE NOTE! But does anyone know, is there some gov database somewhere that would have these old reports? I bet there is, if only I could track it down. Best of luck everyone xx

The DWP do routinely destroy old documents, your best bet is to make a Subject Access Request for the report.
