Include ESA Report with PIP claim? was created by Hopi
Hello all;
Your advice on the following would be very much appreciated.
I'm in the process of completing my 'How your disability affects you' form and am considering including a copy of my ESA Medical Report dated October 2012, which placed me in the Support Group without an examination, as supporting evidence.
My concern is that the Report states that I cannot mobilise more than 50 metres; since I am applying for the 'less than 20 metres' descriptor on my PIP form, I fear that it may count against me?
Thanks in advance and Best Wishes to you all

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

To be honest a report from 2012 is not going carry any weight today unless you can clearly show that your conditions are only likely to deteriorate with time, even then it will at best be a stake in the ground as to what your walking distance was, not how it is now.

Thank you Gordon, I will omit it.
Incidentally they want the form back by 24th December, not only Christmas Eve but a Sunday, like there will be someone there to receive it. Who knows how they came up with that? I'll send it 1st class signed for tomorrow.
