68 and won Tribunal so what happens next

I am 68yrs old and claimed DLA lower rate for about 7yrs
I have multiple health issues, the most pertinent being painful deterioration in almost all my joints. There conditions will continue to gradually worsen over time with pain relief being the only treatment.
I was FORCED to change from DLA to PIP by the DLA and after the face to face assessment by a midwifery nurse awarded nil points
Had my tribunal this week and won with an award of lower rate in both components from the date of my f2f assessment to March 2019
So what happens next?
How long before I start receiving payments again?
Will the back payment be made for the near year that I received no benefits?
Will my age at some point make me ineligible for future support.
I’ve looked but can’t find answers for these questions.

Thanks in advance

Congratulations on the PIP award. It usually takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to process a Tribunal result. you might want to contact the DWP to make sure that they have received the Decision Notice.

You will receive back payment of your award from the day after your DLA payments stopped.

You can continue to receive PIP as long as you continue to meet the criteria for an award.

Without the guidance and help from this wonderful website I would have probably given up a year ago. The reams and reams of paperwork you have to complete are formidable BUT if you do it in small steps and read the guidance notes along with the DWP forms, it is attainable. Stand up to the poor performance of ATOS and similar assessors; their people are so under-qualified and such poor performers that you can win despite them. In my experience, the Tribunals are also fed up with them.
