P.I.P Appeal was created by netcoach177
Could someone please advise me on a possible PIP appeal. A relation has been awarded standard mobility 10 points and enhanced daily living. Since claiming mobility problems have got worse and he has had mobility aids and home adaptions and a lifeline provided by social services. Is it worth considering a appeal with this new information as he is only 2 points short of enhanced mobility and can the claim even be reduced if he appeals?
THANK YOU

Hello netcoaching,

If the claimants condition has deteriorated since their original claim then an appeal would not be appropriate. They can contact the DWP to report a deterioration. They would be reassessed and they would need to provide compelling medical evidence to support their deterioration. There is always the risk that they could be awarded a reduced award or even no award at all. They will need to think very carefully before deciding to report the change.
