You have misinterpreted my request. I have successfully transferred from DLA to PIP but what is the protocol and paperwork for reapplying to renew.

My apologies.
The most likely scenario is that you will be sent an AR1 Review form a year in advance of your current award ending.
If your award was less than 2 years then you may not be notified until 3 months before your award ends.
If your current award was the result of a Tribunal, then it is more likely that you will receive a new PIP2, although an AR1 is still possible. Notification could be a year or 3 months depending on award length. You may also be asked to re-apply although this is in principle no different.

Many thanks. How detailed is the AR1? Is it a full application on all but name and are you offering advice on its completion?.

The PIP Claim guide has a section covering the completion of the AR1.
The form itself is shorter than the PIP2, it covers the same activities but asks whether your limitations for each activity have changed or not, the assessment is based on what you have included in and with the AR1 form and the information from your previous assessment.

Thanks Gordon, I hope others will connect with the Pip/Dla pages for AR1 guidance. It will be interesting as time plays out whether they will hammer re-application. Am I being cynical?.
