would anyone be able to help re rules of non-dependants on the ESA assessment phase and housing benefit?
It would appear that the rule is that "no deductions are taken from a persons housing benefit when they have a non-dependant living with them whilst they are in the income-related ESA assessment phase", does anyone know if this is for the duration of the "persons" assessment phase or just the so-called 13 weeks that it is supposed to take but rarely does in practise?
any help would be really useful as the council have already given the wrong information re non-dependants, so asking them is going to be a waste of time
