Esa50 system error :( was created by Lpen80
So in received my ESA support group CB award in September / October 2013 for 36 months . Luckily I had a good experience with my medical and the lady said I shouldn’t have even been called in due to the overwhelming amount of paperwork backing up my claim . I rang mid 2016 to ask about my renewal and was told it had been extended until September 2018 . Great news ! .. approx 2 weeks ago I received my anual uprating letter , due to the wording I rang to see if I needed to do anything “ no everything’s fine , your due to have your reasssesment in September but if you haven’t heard by mid October call us back “ . I was due my next payment Monday just gone , I woke up to find no money in the bank so rang the dwp dead on 8am , I was told there had been a system error last week and my claim had to be manually put back on the system last Friday , he said it happens a lot and I certainly wasn’t the only person in this situation . The man told me they had issued a same day payment and I would have my money by midnight . Today the mail came and to my surprise was my ESA50 , shocked to say the least and panicking a bit as I’m recovering from surgery . I rang them again and was told because there was so much paperwork to put the on system that it was basically easier to get a new claim / renewal in . I was told I’d need a medical , I did question how he knew this without the esa50 first And he said because you’ve not had one for so long !! I’ve got until the 8 March to get the paperwork back to them .another few months of hell ahead no doubt

I'm afraid the reassessment date is an administrative date only and does not form part of the Decision, so the DWP can in fact re-assess an ESA claimant at any time after three months have elapsed since the last Decision.
Please make sure that you use the latest ESA claim guides, whilst I don't believe that the Descriptors and Regulations have been updated there have been considerable changes to the DWP guidance.

Many thanks Gordon . The first thing I did when I got the form was re subscribe to your page so I could read through the guidelines . I’ve completed about 80% of the form but I’m going to get t finished tomorrow and read everything back carefully . I’ve got quite a bit of new paperwork to send them too . Will keep you posted

Gordon , should I include in my supporting documents previous letters of support from my gp over the years ? And the one she did confirming my anxiety and depression for my pip MR ? I’ve managed to get a copy of referral my gp did to my new hip and spinal surgeon that she did in November . This backs up that my conditions have not improved and my mobility has worsened .

You should consider including anything that you believe supports your claim, but don't go mad and include everything, ask yourself a question first, how does this help me score points.
