Award Review of PIP, Form PIP 1043 was created by olamar
I was granted PIP from Feb 2014 to Feb 2019. Standard Rate on the Daily Living component and Standard Rate on the Mobility component.
So this week I got the big brown envelope with a Award Review Form PIP 1043 to check any changes I have had.
I have to answer questions on any changes to how my Disability effects me. With the following questions on the 12 Activities.
1: Preparing Food a/ Easiier b/ Harder c/ No change
What has happened. From To
How has this made things easier or harder in my life
Through to Question 12
Moving Around.
So basically I have to say wether things have been Easier, Harder or No Change.
Has anyone any advice, I appreciate that only I can answer these questions but it any one has any tips or advice I would be grateful.
I have to send this back by the 4/3 so I don’t have too long.
Thanks in Avance
Olaf

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
Start by having a read of our PIP Claim guide, the criteria you are being assessed against is substantially the same as when you were awarded PIP last time and there is a section that covers completing the AR1 form and some of the issues surrounding it.

I have a question on the moving around section, after reading your notes I see that a wheelchair does not count as an aid to walking and a walking stick does. Does any one know the rules about a Rollator, (mobile walker) does that come in the same category as a wheelchair or does it count as a walking aid. I am fairly sure it does but needed to check it out. Many Thanks in advance

Yes, as you are still moving with at least one biological foot on the ground.

Hi posted review form off, so now the waiting begins. I was waiting for a Drs letter, but hasn’t arrived yet.
My question is can I still send in any medical evidence past the due back date of the review form, secondly If not can I introduce it at any face to face or appeal
Thanks

Yes you can, send a copy to the DWP office dealing with your claim with a covering letter explaining what it is. If you get an appointment for a face to face then send it the address of the appointment, lastly take a copy to the assessment and ask the assessor to read it and include it your file before they start the interview.
