UC and ESA was created by Julie H
Hi, quick question. I'm on UC and new style ESA.(assessment stage) I completed and returned UC50 form and now 13 weeks into ESA. I asked for update on UC journal and was told they have had report back and it is now with decision maker. They also added it shouldn't be long. What shouldn't be long? Any ideas? What exactly is the decision maker deciding. I get very confused with ESA and UC, do they talk to each other? Thank you!

They will be making a Decision on whether you are Fit for Work, you have Limited Capability for Work which will mean that you are excused from looking for work but may have to do activities to prepare you for a return to work, or that you have Limited Capability for Work Related Activity, in which case you will be classed as unable to work and will not be required to do any other activities.

Your first post suggests that this was done without them needing to see you, so it is just the Decision that you are waiting for.

Just an update. I have received today, a letter via my UC journal informing me that I have been placed in support group with re assessment in 18 months. This was all done within 15 weeks with no face to face. This was after completion of UC50. What a relief. Now just the PIP appeal to get through, this has been going on since last June, not quite as quick!!
