The SD Premium is paid via an Income Related benefit such as ESA(IR). To be entitled to payment you need to have a PIP Daily Living award, you must be living alone or considered to be living alone and no one must be receiving Carers Allowance against your PIP Claim.

The SDP is not paid automatically, you need to contact the DWP office dealing with your ESA claim and ask for an IS10 form, it may be possible to complete online, the form captures information about the above information to ensure you are entitled,
