I'm new to this so pls forgive me if I have put this in the wrong place. PIP question
Each activity question asks how long does it take?
Is it ok to generalise when explaining or do they want exact timings? Like the old DLA?

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
Forgive me if I am a little confused, as far as I am aware the PIP2 does not actually ask you about the time it takes you to complete an activity, that's not to say that the time is not important, but it needs context.
Have I misunderstood your question?
Time is important in several ways, for some activities the time of day that you undertake an activity will be important, for example; washing and dressing would be activities that would reasonably be expected to done at the beginning of the day, so if you can't do them then, you should be able to argue that you cannot do them throughout the day.
The length of time that it takes you to compete an activity is important, if you can show that it takes you more than twice as long as a healthy person would then you can argue that you cannot do it reliably.
Lastly time is important because if you cannot reliably complete an activity on the majority of days then you should be counted as being unable to complete it at all.

Thanks Gordon for reply
So when the form says 'tell us how long it takes you to complete this activity?
I just need to explain the difficulties I have completing this activity? NOT actual hours and minutes it takes on average?
Also Q5c managing treatments
Tell us how long it takes to manage your treatments?
Do I just explain again the difficulties I have managing this activity or do I have to work out on average how long each therapy or treatment on average would take? Then give them a total time over a day? Thanks Gordon just confused ? Thank you for you help

You inly need to explain the time it takes you to do one of the PIP activities if you are looking to score points for being unable to do it reliably, see the PIP Claim for more details.
The exception to this is for Managing Therapy where you need to account for the time that it takes each week. Understand that this is not the time that the therapy takes but the time that you need prompting, supervision or assistance for.
You are being assessed on the weekly total but I would explain the daily times to show this.
