Work capability for ESA. was created by Chrissiefeeny
Hi there.
I was reading your DRUK link about some people, who qualify,do not have to have any more assessements for ESA.
Can you tell me if anything will be sent to the qualifying claimants,or must they contact DWP to find out if they are among those whose do not need reassements.
I realise this is new (Nov2017) so, not sure if you have any info on this.

If you meet the criteria and I have only seen three members report that they do so far, then it will only be determined following you next assessment, nobody is being contacted from a previous one.

I should have made myself clearer....
The assessement was done in February 2018 and support group was given without a F2F ( paper based).
ESA has been ongoing for 7 years and this is only the second assesement.
The first was given on Paper base only too.
Completion of ESA50 posted on 05/02/2018 and recieved award on 22/02/2018.
Very quick,by any means......
So, just wondered,if it applies to awards given after November 2017(which your link says it does), should we ask for ESA85a ?...Also, as always, no duration given, so need to ask for length of award too..........So, is there a chance it may state on the paperwork somewhere?

So if you have been recently been assessed then it would say on your Decision Letter whether you are being excused from further assessment.
ESA is an indefinite award with regular reassessment, so the award is not for a specific time and there is no end date, however, if your request a copy of the ESA85A assessment report then there should be a prognosis which is used by the DWP to set when a new ESA50 will be issued.
