Appeal was created by Lydia Abram
Had my MR which was refused because I didn’t send any medical evidence in which I didn’t know I had to. Only signed up to the eight after I was refused PIP. Anyway I’m getting a letter from my mental health nurse to send to appeal, GP doesn’t seem to want to help so that’s the only medical evidence I can get my hands on, hoping that’s enough. I wrote to my MP about the MR he said he’d written to them and to await a reply, still waiting even though I’ve got my MR letter.

What I’d like to know if anyone can give me an idea of what they’ll ask me at tribunal so I can be prepared?

Also what type of letter did people write to their MP? I’ll have to write again about my appeal just wondering if there’s a guide anywhere on what to put.

Followed the guidelines for submission which I’ve done. It’s pretty detailed.

And finally how long did people generally wait for their appeal appointment?

Thanks

I'm afraid it's impossible to say what questions will be asked at your hearing other than they will be about how you meet the criteria for an award. I'm not sure which benefit you were trying to claim, the following is for ESA, if your appeal is for PIP then there will be an extra person on the panel, someone with experience of disability issues.

I'm not sure why you are writing to your MP about the appeal, as this is a legal process they cannot interfere in it!

No I wrote to the MP about my MR not the appeal, I haven’t heard back since my initial letter from him about him contacting them. So I’m annoyed after all my efforts it’s gone to appeal. Thought I could get some help on what to put in email to my MP. And what to expect at the appeal so I can prepare a bit.
