Hallucinations was created by Karen@lionessfs.co.uk
I suffer from hallucinations and require assistance when I leave my home I’ve been awarded the low mobility pip which had also been reviewed - I’m due to have a brain scan next week but it’s been around 8 months since the review as I’m gathering the papers from the psychiatrist and want to include the brain scan result - can I still appeal to get the higher mobility rate as I think this has been wrongly assessed under mental health as my Mum has to Come with me if I go outside I get hallucinations panic attacks anxiety ?

An appeal can only consider you conditions and limitations as they were at the time the Decision for your current award was made, so any changes that have occurred since then will not be looked at.
You can report a Change of Circumstances to the DWP but before doing so you need to make sure that you understand the criteria that you would need to meet in order to receive a higher award. See our PIP Claim guide for more information.
