Got letter from my GP was created by Tinker765
Got my GP letter to go towards evidence for my ESA assessment although i am not happy with the letter it is very brief and does not include much. Baring in mind my Psychiatrist and Psychologist recently contacted my GP to update my file.
Below i have copied what the letter says -
Mr Taylor is a patient of this practice and under my care.
He suffers significant symptoms of Anxiety, Depression and Agoraphobia. He finds it very difficult to travel out of the house other than in exceptional circumstances where he is familiar with his surroundings.
He is currently under the care of the mental health team and is taking Venlafaxine/ Olanzapine/ Mirtazapine/ Pregabalin.
I would request that any Welfare assessments are conducted in his home environment to prevent an exacerbation of his symptoms.
What do you make of this? Saw my psychologist today and once again asked for a letter but he is unable to, His boss will not allow him too. This whole process has stressed me out to the max. Wish my GP had of put more detail into the letter for example i was recently under the care of a Crisis team as i tried to kill myself. But there is no mention of it.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I am always concerned when a GP leaves the door open for the claimant to attend at the Assessment Provider's offices.

Sorry what do you mean by that? My GP asks for a home assessment on the letter

If they are willing to do so now then I would take them up on the offer otherwise you may be chasing for another letter when you have an appointment at the AP's offices.
