My sister had her PIP assessment today. When her husband asked if the assessor had read the 20 pieces of evidence that she included with her form the assessor said that they don’t read these! She said they just complete the form and the Decision Maker weighs everything up and makes the decision. I find this hard to believe. Is it true that the assessors do not read the additional evidence?
Assessors should read the form and any evidence that is attached in order for them to make a proper recommendation to the DWP. Do all assessors do this, probably not.

That’s terrible. They also queried it with a senior assessor and she said the same. We will just have to see what the decision is and go from there. Thank you Gordon.
