Filling out ESA form was created by Bernadette
Hi this is my first time on this site and I haven’t got a clue what I’m doing. Sorry if I’m sounding stupid. I moved from DWP TO PIP early this year. I was on enhanced for both mobility/care, then moved onto pip which awarded my standard for both. The assessor didn’t even know what my illness was and asked me to explain it to her, I asked what her qualifications was she replied a ‘Nurse’ but didn’t know what a pulmonary embolism. My husband attended the appointment with me which was a good job as she lie on my report.
I appealed with the support from my GP which included a medical detailed letter which was about all my ailments and disability. I was awarded enhanced mobility and standards care missing out by 1 point.
I am appealing waiting to go to tribunal . I have know ideas how to move forward with paper work etc.
I’ve now received my ESA renewal. Omg it can’t get any worse another booklet to fill in. I’m on the support group, I’ve tried getting in touch with citizens advice in Rochdale with no help but a closed door and phone line. It’s all making me very ill. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you Berni

It's important to understand that PIP is awarded for your limitations rather than your conditions, so although medical evidence is important it is your functional restrictions in regard to your completing the PIP activities that are being assessed.

I would go through your PIP2, the assessment report and our PIP Claim guide to make sure that you have shown that you have met the criteria, remember you need to be able complete each activity reliably and on the majority of days.

If you have any specific questions then please reply to this post/ and we will do our best to help.
