I heard from the CAB worker assisting me in my review that the letter sent to my GP requesting medical information to support my request for a home visit for the assessment has been refused. Grounds given is that it is the 'policy' of the surgery not to give supporting letters for ESA. This completely closes the door to any sort of support from the very agency that were instrumental in me giving up work in the first place. I was told by my GP that if I insisted on continuing to work she would no longer be able to help me manage my pain. I feel totally abandoned!
Do any other Health Care Professionals provide you with support? Could they provide a letter to say that you are unable to attend at the Assessment Providers offices?
