Hi I have received my transfer letter from DLA to PIP, I have phoned the dept and asked for the PIP forms they should be here in around two weeks. I wish to ask some questions. 1. Will the PIP team be writing to my GP prior to me completing and returning my PIP forms and medical evidence ?. 2. I have so much evidence from various consultants to send, so I am asking does everyone have to have a face to face assessment despite having a wealth of medical evidence?. 3. As in the past claims for DLA and ESA I was able to complete my forms online, is there still this facility available and how do I find it?.
I hope someone has some info for me and look forward to hearing back. Thanks David
2. They can do a Paper Based Review but be aware that medical evidence is not always helpful, remember it is the limitations that result from your conditions that is being assessed and not the conditions themselves.
3. I'm afraid not, there is no electronic version of the PIP2 that it is publicly available, you can request a copy from the DWP of a PDF version but they may not be willing to provide it and you could waste time you have to complete the form trying to get a copy. You can provide your answers on separate sheets and attach them to the form.
