Hi, If I need prompting to complete an exercise programme and help to use a massager every morning due to pain and stiffness before I can attempt to dress myself, does that fall under 5d ? Thank you.
It may but there are several issues that you will need to deal with.
First, the exercise and the use of the massager must have been prescribed, so you will need to provide proof of this, a letter from your GP, a Consultant, Physiotherapist, etc.
Second, you will need to show that the prompting is required and why.
Lastly and specifically for 5(d) you will need to show that this amounts to more than 3 1/2 hours a week. Understand that it is would only be the time that the prompting is required is required for that would count, not the time taken for the actual treatment itself, so if the prompting amounts to only a couple of minutes each day then the best you would meet would be 5(c).
