can you make a new claim whilst one is going through appeal, or would your appeal get closed down if you started the process again?

The appeal wait time in my area is 44 weeks, I am getting £575 per month with 2 children on UC and I don't know if I can cope with the stress of not having any money for that long.

Can I ask the judge to bring my hearing forward because of the detrimental affect on not just myself, but also that of my children.

Is this in regard to your PIP appeal?

Yes, you can make a new claim PIP now, you don't need to cancel your appeal but the Decision that will result from the new claim will limit any award that a Tribunal might make.

You will need to consider how you address the problems that meant that your previous claim failed, or you will likely receive the same Decision.
