Tribunal question was created by templee
Hi,
I tried the FAQ section but all the links there ended at a 404 page not found error. Also I could not find a search facility to see if this question as already been answered.
I've completed the mandatory reconsideration process after my re-assessment and denial of continuing PIP benefit. I'm in the process of submitting an appeal. Does anyone know how long it can take for a case to be heard at the Liverpool tribunal.
I'm aware each area has different waiting times and that these can change for all sorts of reasons. I'm just after a rough idea so I can figure out finances. As the PIP re-assessment takes a 'fixed' amount of time we've managed to scrape through on what little money we have coming in. I'm wondering if it will be weeks, months or a year or more? This way I know if I have to cut our budget further so that I can free up money for bigger annular bills coming in after June next year.
Thanks
Max

I'm sorry but we have a bug in the forum software that means that some users cannot access the FAws.
The search function is at the top right of the page.
We don't have wait times for specific venues but you are looking at at least nine months for a hearing. Once your appeal is lodged you can phone the venue for current wait times although these are increasing due to the number of appeals.

I just got some great news. After submitting my appeal the DWP contacted me and said after of reviewing my case and the information submitted in my appeal they wanted to reinstate my PIP at the previous rate.
They did say that I could continue with the appeal where I may be rewarded with more points or possibly less points. I was just happy to have the ordeal and stress end.
I used your guides for every contact I have with the DWP and still don't understand how they arrived at the decision to stop my PIP after my first review. I wonder if it is a standard thing were they stop a certain percentage of PIP claims to see if people have the mental strength to endure the whole appeal ordeal or if they stop a percentage at key times of the year so they can claim they have reduced benefit payments for a report or assessment, knowing full well that they will have to reinstate and back pay the claims as they are appealed.
I'm glad it's all over as the stress has caused my condition to flare up leaving me in greater pain for the last five months. Thank you to the team at Benefits & Work for your essential guides.
Thanks
