What does this mean? was created by Dave
Hi
I rang DWP today to ask how my claim was advancing ( I had a letter 4 days ago saying they had all they needed to make a decision) and the gentleman told me my claim was with " the assessment team". I thought the assessment team were Atos? Or does he mean a decision team? Also, how long after that letter is it normally before a decision?
Thankyou

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Yes, I think they mean that it is with a Decision Maker. There have been delays in this part of the process and members have been reporting wait times of up to 8 weeks, Christmas is likely to delay this further.
You should be able to request a copy of the assessment report by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim.

Thanks Gordon.
I have the report. According to adding the scores up from on here, Ive scored 13 for daily living and 4 for mobility.. Does the decision maker normally follow that assessment?

It would be unusual for them not to.
