Health assessment for esa help was created by Ukstevo7
Hi. I have just received the capability for work assessment form , I only had my last one 18months ago, and 12 months for the pip. My condition is massive spinal cord damage and massive muscle wastage. I can hardly move.
The last assessment i went to the nhs doctor there told me that people in my condition should not have to keep re doing this as it’s a waste of time and money as condition can’t improve.
My question is why do I have to go back if it’s changed? Or has it changed and if so when? As I know there was mention that people in my type of condition would not have to do this over and over.
Also i can’t seem to find the right guide in the guide area for the form and what they look for.
Thank you for reading this and hopefully help.
Steven

It is only recently that ESA claimants can be excused from further assessment and this can only be done after a further assessment has been completed, I'm afraid the doctor who assessed you last time exceeded their authority by telling you that you would not be assessed again.
This is a full reassessment of your claim so you need to complete form in detail and provide evidence as you can, even if you have sent it before.
Our ESA Claim guides will help you with the form.

Thank you. Yeah I’m used to filling out these forms now, I have copies of them all saved. I will get that sent in with medical Evidence.
So after this assessment is it possible now that they can put down that you don’t have to re do these pointless assessments? As I’m almost bed bound and soon as they see me they always tell me there and then they will recommend the support group and not to worry at all.
But even thinking positive in that way does not help as can’t help but worry none stop about it. It just seems to never end. This is the 3rd one for esa and pip in 18 months

It is possible but it is not a given, there are very specific criteria that you will need to meet, the decision to excuse you or not is appealable. See
