PIP Tribunal was created by Helen Marris
I asked for a review in April this year as my condition had deteriorated had my face to face and was awarded the higher rate of mobility which I was happy with.
The daily living which I had before as needing assistance was put as needing an aid! because I was able to squeeze the assessors hand I was okay they said I had full reach behind my back, to my recollection I was never asked to do this.
I asked for a mandatory reconsideration and was turned down so decided to go to tribunal as I dont like being called a liar and even though I might still have the standard rate at the end of it I was determined to appeal and asked for a face to face one
I did it myself with help from here only and kept ringing to find out if a date had been set, first of all I was told average 12 week wait but a few weeks ago was told that for Doncaster was 36 weeks unbelievable, not too bad for me as I had been awarded some money but for others who have been refused all rates this is disgusting.
Unfortunately at the end of October I was diagnosed with a brain Tumour and mid November I was told I need an operation and this will be around the time the tribunal might have sat.
I contacted the courts 2 weeks ago to see if it could be made a priority and today I have received a brown envelope saying they have done a paper hearing instead and I have WON my appeal with daily living going from 9 to 12 okay the DWP can appeal but I feel vindicated. Many thanks to Benefits & Work as the information I have found on these pages has been so helpful

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

What a great first post, well done and congratulations.
It usually takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to process a Tribunal result. I would give them a ring to make sure that they have received the Decision Notice.
