Text with an option to attend an PIP assessment

Today 21.12.18 I received a text message from the Independant Assessment Services, in respect of PIP. I completed a Reassesment form in July this year and other than a text message acknowledging they had seen it two months later I have received nothing else....today’s message was very triggering to receive so close to Christmas ...it said they have appointments available in next seven days and to call if I could attend one in my area.....this really has set me back, my anxiety is so high.....CAB called the number on the text and enquired about it. The person answering the phone said they are standard texts as they have appointments available due to cancellations or those not being able to attend,.....I wasn’t sure if I would be required to have an assessment, and this confirms that I will , not necessarily in the next seven days but in the new year....a letter is imminent ...it’s really upset me so close to Christmas after waiting since the end of July to hear something ....
I wanted to let others know as maybe it will help alleviate the shock a little....it’s does not say we have to attend an appointment but it’s the reminder of it all that is anxiety provoking so close to Christmas....
