Hi Gordon!
Your always there.
I have been fretting for days;trying to find answers!
I don't trust the DWP with anything.
You always come through and help.
If i could give you an MBE I would you'd deserve it for the thousands of hours, and efforts for others.
Massive than kyou!

Hi Gordon!
Sorry to ask more. this is final question.
As i am registered blind; it says in some info i have found that there would be no non dependant deductions to HB or CT support!
But if that is correct;would there be an increase because there are now two adults in the property or will she be disregarded as being liable for CT because of the above wavering of the non dependant deductions ?
Many thanks again.

I'm sorry but we don't provide support for HB and CT on the forum, you need to get local advice, do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.

Hi Guys!
I went to JCP a week before my daughter was due to come stay with me and informed HB, CT support and the benefits department of her being resident and registered at my home.
Obviously being known to them they new all my income sources as on record in relation to me.
I took along a copy of the questions i asked here;relating to the loss of SDP, HB AND CT support. They kept a copy of this information!
Benefit staff member said he could see no reason for any change; i said well what about the SDP and he said as my daughter was not my carer or receiving carers premium or in fact any benefits at all no problem with SDP. I said i think your wrong so he went to a supervisor and showed him my letter and the supervisor agreed no change needed!
So the following day i sent a letter recorded delivery signed for to the ESA office that pays me which was received by them on 17th July asking them to carefully look at my situation regarding SDP and if it were to be removed i should be paid the CB/ESA WITH TRANS PAYMENT AS BEFORE!
However nothing has changed ;housing benefit has increased, still dont pay any CT and ESA has SDP; I phoned them and they have received my letter i raised the same questions and they say all is fine,in my letter i asked them to please get it right in the first instance!
So my question to you is: who's right ,their sure they are right; i'm not what do i do now?
Many thanks in advance for any response.

Hi Matchmaker

You have done everything possible to inform DWP of your concerns, I would go by what you have been informed by DWP.
I have found the following information which may be useful:
Anyone staying in your home who normally lives elsewhere, they cannot count as a non dependant.
If you are already getting SDP and someone joins your household for the first time to care for you then SDP can be paid for up to 12 weeks.
It may also have something to do with being certified as being blind.
