New irreversible lung disease. was created by John Mac
Hello all, I had to fill in my review for PIP forms just before Christmas and 5 days before Christmas I was diagnosed with Chronic Hypersensitivity pneumonitis (ILD) which is irreversible lung disease, I could only write this on the form as I had no proof as I had to get the forms sent in, my question is will they contact the hosp and GP's to confirm I have this as I have been to hosp and GP's every week since being diagnosed getting treatment and tests etc and have now been told I am type 2 diabetic, this is on top of all the other original ailments I have been getting PIP for the last 5 yrs. This lung condition will never get better only worse and will I still have to have a F2F.

It's unlikely that they will, your GP should have received confirmation of the diagnosis and your GP Surgery can supply you with a copy of the letter that you can forward on.

Thanks Gordon, but do you mean I should get a letter from GP or will the GP confirm all this to the benefits board. I have heard nothing from PIP review as yet. Thanks John.

You should be able to get a copy of your Consultant's letter which you can forward.
