Hi, I'll keep this brief : Been on ESA with SDP since 2009 Invited to claim PIP from DLA in June 2018 Received decision letter in Sept 2018 for PIP to start in Oct : only low mobility awarded, no care awarded so SDP on ESA removed automatically and immediately Challenged PIP decision under MR and just received MR letter after 4 1/2 months after MR submitted : awarded enhanced care, in addition to the low mobility, backdated to Oct 2018.
Question : How is SDP on ESA reallocated and backdated ?

You will need to contact the DWP office dealing with your claim, you will likely have to complete an IS10 form to confirm that you still meet the other eligibility criteria for SDP, it may be possible to do this over the phone. They should then pay the outstanding SDP from the original date of your PIP Decision.
