My MR decision was given before the agreed deadline. I requested a MA over telephone which was granted due to more medical evidence and awaiting new meds, consultations and referrals. All part of my condition. Having not collected all papers from relevant areas I was given an extension date over telephone again. However, I called to confirm a few days before sending my papers off and they said a decision had already been made and the award remained the same. They had had no supporting or additional evidence. The Case Manager apologised and said all my additional evidence would be considered nether the less when I send it in. I recently sent everything guaranteed delivery within deadline. ( I have the dates and names )

Providing they have agreed to do a second MR then no, however, once you have received the Decision Letter from the first one then you should request an appeal, it can always be cancelled if the Decision is revised by the DWP.
