Contact Number

Hi
Does anyone have a contact number to help get through to the PIP section quickly for an update? I know that under the old DLA, they did have a separate Advisors helpline number and people could call them on that for an update if they were down as being a relative or helping in some capacity. I am trying to chase down some important information on a friend of mine and his PIP, but I am fed up of not managing to get through. Someone suggested to me that there may be a sort of A-Z contact number list, so as if my friend's surname began with a P, I could ring a number that deals with perhaps surnames beginning from N-R, or similar. I hope that makes sense. Any help would be really appreciated. I did not have this much hassle with my own claim. They are not in any way consistent with their approach. I imagine that is a deliberate action??
