Failed MR was created by Nikki
I finally found out today that my MR hasn't changed anything, I've still lost my higher rate mobility and therefore, my car. I've been on the enhanced rate for over 10 years and despite sending in a written MR and explaining exactly how the activities affect me, they've upheld the original decision so now I have to go to appeal. I just don't understand it, they've got all the names and contact details of all the specialists I'm under, I gave a detailed account of how each activity affects me and it's done absolutely nothing.
My daughter receives higher rate mobility so I can transfer my car over to hers, but then she will no longer be eligible for a taxi to college which means I'll have to make the drive twice a day and I'm not actually able to do it. I just don't know what to do.

You have the option of appealing the Decision.
The PIP Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a complete example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.
Once your appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send you a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit your own, you should start to prepare your own case, an increased award will only be made by your showing that you score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through your PIP2, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to see how you might show this is the case.

What should I do about my car do you think? I was down graded to the lower rate of mobility in November but Motability haven't contacted me to ask for it back. It was supposed to go in for it's first service in December but I cancelled it because I'm scared it'll be kept, if I don't get it serviced I'm going to be in breach of my agreement but both myself and my daughter have got several hospital appointments coming up and I've got 2 surgeries, if I lose it I'm housebound and so, ostensibly, is my daughter.

I can't really offer any advice on this, if you do not have an Enhanced award then do not qualify for the Mobility scheme. I don't know whether the car is transferable to your daughter, you would have to ask Motability.
I would not leave it, the DWP will have stopped payments to Motability so they might try and recover the money from you.

So my letter arrived today giving me the reasons why they've failed me on MR. I sent in my written explanations of how my disability effects me on the parts I'd failed to get any points on, they've now given me points, but instead of adding them to the initial assessment, they must have taken points away from others because even with the extra points I'm still at the same rate!
I've managed to get some advice regarding motability and it seems that if you fail your MR, which apparently you usually do, when you have sent off the appeal form, if you phone them and explain there's been a mistake and you've appealed, they invariably allow you time to receive a result. On reading the motability website, if you've been with them long enough, you can have 26 weeks to sort out your mobility needs giving you plenty of time to go to the second tier of appeal. Having my car transferred over to my daughter's PIP is at their descression but as I've only had this car for 1 year they stand to lose out and would rather find a way to benefit both parties.
So now I need to get a GP letter confirming the points they've disputed to add weight to my claim, is there anything else I should be doing?

Just start thinking about your submission, why have you not scored the points that you expected? How do you bridge the gap?
