How to Proceed since failed DLA to PIP Transfer was created by CoolgirlM
I received high rate Care Component and low rate Mobility for mental health issues with DLA for 8 years.
I’ve had to apply for PIP and after submitting my application and attending a face-to-face interview, I’ve found out today that I will not receive PIP after scoring 0 points in total. My DLA will stop on 12th March.
I am going to apply for an MR, but have a couple of questions to ask:
1) The letter says I must apply within 4 weeks of the date on the letter. The date on the letter is 13th Feb, but I didn’t receive the letter until 21st Feb. Will they take this into account while I am applying for MR, as I have called to ask for my assessment report.
2) I receive Working Tax Credits as I work 20 hours a week and was in receipt of DLA. I will need to tell them I am losing DLA ASAP, but does that mean I will completely lose the working tax credits? If so, that means I’m down £850 a month!!

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
1. You can either make the request by the required date and tell them that you will be sending additional information, they should allow you four weeks from the date of your request although this includes [ostage time, or you can make a Late request but you will need to explain why the request is late, your waiting for the assessment report should be accepted as Good Cause.
2. I'm afraid we do not advise on Tax Credits but I would expect you to lose the money as you are not working enough hours if you no longer meet the criteria to be considered as disabled but I would try and get face to face advice to see if there is any way around this.
