got my ESA assessment soon and trying to plan ahead.

on my last 2 esa assessments, they have rang last minute offering a taxi. im suspecting the same again. Im unsure if this is just them trying to be helpful, or a test.

Seems unlikely the taxi driver is assessing me, however could i be assessed on how i cope with that late change in my travel plans, or how i handle the telephone call.

Not to hopeful on getting anything from Coping with change, however engaging socially is the descriptor most likely to apply to me. wouldnt want to answer the phone and risk being marked down in that activity.

I have no physical disabilities, and the assessment centre is reasonably close to my home, so i intend to take a hopefully relaxing walk.

We always tell members that their assessment effectively starts when they leave home and how they get to the assessment centre and even how they get from the reception area to the to the interview room will be looked at.

When my caree had her ESA assessment, the DWP actually paid for her cab home - with a cab firm they used, Addison Lee. I hope they weren't asking the cabbie to report back on her behaviour, but we assumed he might be anyway, just in case.
