After waiting 14 months for my appeal to be heard it finally was, 2 weeks ago. It was denied and I was totally devastated. It's taken me until now to accept the decision. As I also suffer with acute anxiety it hasn't been easy. Today I have received a text from DWP, a text, mind, not a letter mind you informing me that they have received a request for my claim to be looked at again and they will inform me of their decision within the next 6 weeks. Can anyone tell me if this is normal practice after losing an appeal. My head is in bits..Does it mean I still have a chance, very slim one, of having the original decision overturned, or even the award I do claim will be withdrawn? It's even crossed my mind that someone is playing a very sick joke on me. If this has happened to anyone else can they please reply. I don't think I can endure another 6 weeks of stress.
